IC-M602

Built-in ITU Class-D DSC
An independent receiver continuously watches Ch. 70, while using another channel. Further, a single antenna connector allows VHF and Ch. 70 operation, thus simplifying installation. The 10-keypad allows simple and efficient operation of the DSC emergency functions, vital for your safety at sea.

NMEA Input/Output
When connected to a GPS receiver, the IC-M602 indicates position data in seconds of accuracy. NMEA output allows you to plot other ships received position data on a PC or navigation equipment.

Superior receiver performance
The IC-M602 has excellent receive specifications of more than 80dB for spurious response, and intermodulation rejection. With such high level performance, received calls are remarkably clear and free from noise. The powerful audio output from the front facing speaker further increases the clarity of received calls.

Simultaneous connection of two COMMANDMIC(R)'s
The optional COMMANDMIC(R) provides a 2nd and/or 3rd station capability and an intercom function. With slim dimension and sizable LCD, the COMMANDMIC(R) offers ease and convenience to operate the radio from remote locations such as the cockpit or tower up to a max. 21m* (70ft) from the IC-M602.
* Requires use of optional OPC-999 extension cables.

Large LCD with dot-matrix characters
The large dot-matrix display is designed for optimum readability in any lighting condition. With the extra large font, the channel number is maximized on the display and other information can be easily read.

22 Watt 2-way Hailer capability
IC-M602 When connected to a hailer horn, communication with other boats, Deck or Dock hands is easy. The built-in amplifier increases talk power to 22W making your message loud and clear. Quickly access the hailer via the generously-sized, backlit keypad.

Waterproof construction
The IC-M602 including the supplied/optional microphone has effective waterproofing equivalent to JIS waterproof grade 7*.

  • MB-75 FLUSH MOUNT KIT
    For flush-mounting the IC-M602 to a flat surface such as an instrument control panel.

  • HM-136B/W SMART-SPEAKER-MICROPHONE
    Detachable waterproof speaker microphone. Same as supplied.

  • UT-112 VOICE SCRAMBLER UNIT
    Enables private communication by scrambling your voice signal. Up to 32 scrambling codes are available.
    Not available in some countries.

  • OPC-999 EXTENSION CABLE FOR HM-127B/W
    6 m (20 ft) of extension cable for additional separation length when using the COMMANDMIC(R).

  • HM-127B/W REMOTE-CONTROL MICROPHONE 
    The COMMANDMIC(R) fits in your palm comfortably. Its sizable LCD offers ease and convenience to operate from remote locations. You can talk with the IC-M602 as an intercom.
    DSC, hailer and fog horn are not possible.
